Should I get a macintosh?

Okay first just let me say i already have a Dell Laptop with windows. But I am starting to really get into videography and i have heard Mac's are the best for rendering and film making... now before any of you anti-PC or Mac trolls post i know both have their advantages and disadvantages just want to know if it would be smart to get a Mac for my film/rendering and keep the PC for other things (like school)
