Why doesn't my computer match up to these requirements for running netflix instant?

Not possible at all in any way, shape, or form. You CANNOT upgrade a PowerPC Mac to an Intel CPU, period, end of story. If you want to watch Netflix streaming movies on a Mac, it must be an Intel Mac. Your only option is to replace that G4 with an Intel Mac.
