How do i fish a frog lure?

i'm still learning about artificial lures and have started increasing my collection of top water lures over the last year or so. i've heard a lot of people saying that they have luck with frogs, like the SPRO bronzeye series lures. i'm seriously thinking of investing in some, but would like some input as to what techniques to use when fishing them, and what colors seem to be the most productive.

Teaching children to read: whole word vs phonics.....help!?

I'm having trouble understanding phonics. I understand how whole word methods work, and that they can cause advancement very young (see this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1OdBcNAfIw). But I've also read that children can become confused by whole word when they're older as they are just memorising the shape of the word. My question is, how does a child learn the alphabet with phonics? Surely they just learn that each letter makes a sound. If you show them a "b" and make a "buh" noise, won't they recognise "b" to be "buh" and not the actual letter? I'm specifically referring to when teaching children from a very young age when they won't know any better, like in the above video.

If I format my imac will I be able to use it?

Why is my motorcycle making that noise?

I have a 1981 yamaha 1100 xs. This morning i was riding it to work and and it was fine. Halfway through my ride, i was on the freeway and my bike starts losing power. I manage to make it to work which is just off the freeway and when i stop, my bike is idling just under 1k rpms and it dies. After work the same exact thing happens except that i made it home. when it started to lose power it sounded almost like a lawnmower engine. I had to really get on the throttle to keep it going. It kinda felt like it was shaking a little bit. which i'm sure isn't normal. i put it in the 2nd choke setting and it seemed okay to get me home. I'm not a motorcycle mechanic obviously so if anyone has had this problem and has the solution would be a great help. thanks in advance

I am 17 and a Christian. I am forgiving and nice and never start problems with others, and many people don't start problems with me either. But, my sister is always being obnoxious, nosy, and starts things with me. It is not as much as it used to be, but still happens. Today it was thundering and raining outside, i had to use the bathroom but my dog was hiding in the bathroom because he gets scared of thunder sounds. The bathroom is a reasonable size, but not that big, and he would have been in my way, so i called my dog to get out of the bathroom and he doesn't listen; i try to lure him out of the bathroom with a dog snack and he doesn't listen; so i just had to push him out of the bathroom and then he was finally out of the bathroom and he went to another part of the house. I didn't push him out in a mean way, just kind of like moved him out the door like one would push a table. But my sister seemed to give me attitude just because i moved him out of the bathroom. I tried to say things with reason, but she just closed her door in my face. I try to be a good brother, but she is just an obnoxious person and i love her, but i don't want to deal with her anymore. She is obviously has a problem with me and how i am, (she also brings up long forgotten things of the past to justify her actions towards me when i never did anything and those things were ancient history, which most of those events were just me standing up for myself because she was mean first.) so i don't want to be around her much. When i get old enough, i want to move out on my own and not have to deal with her. I still love her, and might say hi to her on facebook sometimes or even visit. (That form of contact is not long enough for her to start being a jerk again.) I would not be holding a grudge, there is just some people who are impossible to get along with even when you are nice to them. But, just because of all this and how i feel will God be mad at me or think anything i feel/think mentioned here is anything wrong? If i eventually move out in the future and feel happy because i don't have to deal with her being obnoxious, would God be upset with me or feel im unforgiving? Will i be spiritually okay? Thanks!:)

Im scared someone will break in my house at night .?

So, I have a fear, that someone is going to break into my house. I usually have this fear when I am home alone in the afternoon, i usually solve my fears by locking my doors, having the blinds down, and locking my garage. But at night even though all my doors are locked, I am still terrified of a home invasion. I know it is not likely because I live in a low crime neighborhood. But I still have this fear, I have told my mother about it, but she thinks its irrational and i should toughen up, but its not that simple. I am always scared, Im scared when I am home, Im scared when im coming home. Im just always scared. It has gotten so bad, that I stay up all night, until the sun comes up and once it comes up, I go to sleep in my room, with my door barricaded. i don't know why, I am terrified at night, I just have always been, and we have no alarm, and lots of doors, and plenty of windows. Also my parents don't have any guns. During the afternoon, I babysit my little brother (3) and my little sister (7 months). So if someone breaks into my house, while im babysitting i can't just run to a neighbor's home. I am very paranoid, the slightest noise scares me .and my house is fairly big, so someone could break in. and me not even know it. I just don't know how to solve my fears. So what would I even do if someone really broke in my house, at night, or in the afternoon ?

Why is my dog attacking my other dog?

I have 2 intact female dogs; Basset Hound and Cocker Spaniel. We bred our basset hound over 6 months ago and during her pregnancy she became aggressive about food with our cocker. When we discussed this with a professional they said it should pass once her puppies are gone and her hormones are back to normal. We didn't have any problems with her until a few weeks ago when she again became aggressive again over a few kibbles my daughter put on the floor. Then, this morning I heard growling near our back door and found our cocker sitting waiting to go out and avoiding eye contact with the Basset hound and as soon as I tried to intervene our Basset attacked. It's a lot of noise and growling, but no injuries. She is just coming out of heat. It's so surprising since our BH is so loving and playful and usually is best friends with the CS. I am wondering if we spay them both if the aggressiveness will stop, or if this is something we will need to bring a behaviorist in to correct. I am not a backyard breeder btw so no nasty comments. My BH is registered and all of the health checks were done etc. I am trying to do what is best for my dogs.

The Columbian drug cartels pretty much ran the country and it took over 10 years to get rid of them. Renault clio 1.2 starts up but cuts out if no acceleration can be driven but cuts out?

my renault clio 51 plate 1.2 is having running problems.it was running ok ,and the engine management light was going off and on for a few weeks but it cut out at junctions but when it was driving didnt cut out .then it stopped doing it for a few weeks and was running ok ,until the other day when i checked the oil it was empty so i put some in straight away as i didnt know how long it had been with no oil,the next day i drove a 30 mile journey with no problems,then the next day when i started it up it run for about 15 seconds then cut out ,i tried to drive it but when i got a few yards around 10 it cut out on me and felt quite rough to drive ,then when i opened the bonnet i could hear a noise which sounded like it was coming from the engine only way to describe it was like tapping a spanner onto metal but not excesivley loud does anyone know what it could be as i dont want to be ripped off from a garage ,i did get the aa out and their diagnostic test showed nothing but when i had one previous to this problem e few things come up but i dont know what they were the aa man said that it had been cleared whatever that means any help would be good thx also their is a slight burning of oil or fuel smell

very good, but after one read its seems more descriptive of her environment than of her character and when you have to start talking abt her character with "julia was an intuitive girl...." it seems very blunt and in complete contrast to the description of her environment which flows like water. you are very good at description of the surroundings, use that to bring out the character. the character development seems very blocky, merge it with the rest of the text. when u describe the grass or the bushes bring out her thoughts abt how she believes there are secrets hidden behind them, in them/it and how when the wind blew she wanted to follow it to see where it went to see perchance where it began,< this is just a crude example to describe her curious character, her determination, start it off smoothly, ease into the character. ( i hope this helps somehow, i would want to read further)

I am having issues with the way my 1994 Pontiac Trans Am is running.?

about a year and a half ago my car started stuttering sometimes when i pressed on the throttle. It didn't happen often so i never took care of the problem. About a month ago it started getting worse. Now it revs itself when it is in park. Also, when i am stopped at a light just putting my foot on the break it will try to take off. Also, when i give it gas sometimes a popping noise comes from the exhaust, kinda sounding like a backfire. I took it to my usual mechanic, he tried replacing a sensor but it didn't work and since the engine light never comes on it is difficult to tell if it is elctrical or something else. My mechanic now thinks it is the distributor cap but i had that replaced two years ago. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks.

Trouble installing Snow Leopard Server on my iMac?

I'm trying to install Snow Leopard Server on my iMac, which surpasses all of the minimum requirements. I kept receiving the message, "Snow Leopard Server cannot be installed on this machine". I did my research and I tried partitioning my Macintosh HD and putting the source on the new partition. When I restart the computer, I am able to launch the installation, but I kept receiving the message, "Mac OS X can't be installed on this machine because there is a newer version"... so then I erased the HD and tried it again, but I get the same message. Do any of you have an idea of why this is happening?

I know what you're going to say. "They can be some of the most hateful people ever!", I realize that. Just like you have axe murderer Atheist, you have the Atheist that donates thousands to charity. But it seems like, especially the youth, are SO damn nice. I went to a youth thing at a church I go to, and they are insanely nice to me, much more than non-Christian teens. Why won't my 1993 Subaru Legacy start?

I just tried to replace my fuel filter, and could not get the hoses off for the life of me. I disconnected the negative side of the battery, and went under the passenger back seat and unplugged the plug (read it in a forum to unplug white plug and run car to depressurize). After I couldn't get the hoses off, I put the nut back on, re-plugged in the negative side of the battery, and plugged that plug back in under the passenger seat, and now the car won't even make a noise when I turn the key. Well, to be honest, weird things happen in my house. I live in our 4 room basement, with my younger brother. My older sister, who is 22, had weird, creepy dreams when she slept in the basement, before she moved out. THe dreams ALWAYS consisted of a little boy with no eyes who got run over by a train and our house was built over his body! (CREEPY!) And weird things happen all the time, such as; Knocking noises, lights flickering, scratching, things being moved, doors left shut being opened, and sometimes, late, late into the night if Your still awake, freaking bloody murder screams, like someone is murdering people in my house! I always check, and no on es there. Its not harmful, because no body's been "Attacked" or scratched, or bitten, but these have been hap pending for years now but get worse with time. You can never beat live bait. Thats a fact. For panfish and bullhead you should use nightcrawlers. I always use leeches on a spinner rig for walleyes. If you want to catch little pike you can use nightcrawlers. Otherwise use powerbait worms or jerkbaits hooked on a jighead. For muskie you will have a better chance with larger lures but powerbait would work too. This should put fish in the boat. Good luck!!

very good, but after one read its seems more descriptive of her environment than of her character and when you have to start talking abt her character with "julia was an intuitive girl...." it seems very blunt and in complete contrast to the description of her environment which flows like water. you are very good at description of the surroundings, use that to bring out the character. the character development seems very blocky, merge it with the rest of the text. when u describe the grass or the bushes bring out her thoughts abt how she believes there are secrets hidden behind them, in them/it and how when the wind blew she wanted to follow it to see where it went to see perchance where it began,< this is just a crude example to describe her curious character, her determination, start it off smoothly, ease into the character. ( i hope this helps somehow, i would want to read further)

Strange Rumble Noise over City?

Its 2 AM and I heard a loud rumble noise pass over my house. It sounded like jet plane was flying 20 feet over my house. I look out the window and see nothing. I could hear the rumble for about 1min it woke up all the dogs in the area and make them bark. 30min later I hear it again and look out my window and see what looks like a fighter jet(Not sure it was pretty far away) flying about what looked like no more then 40 mph. It was a good 3/4 mile away and the noise was crazy loud. The noise does not really sound like a plane but it was close. It did not sound like anything I have ever heard. Anyone got any idea what it is?

I managed to loosen the ropes, and waited for the right moment to escape. I got off the tree and grabbed one of the Indians and took his knife. I was charged by two massive indians, luckily for me, my friends drove over to me and hit them with their car. I got in the car and we took off, when I looked back I saw the chieftain, kneeling over the corpses of his fallen tribesman in sadness. When I got home I contemplated a lot about this, maybe they weren't trying to hurt me? What if they were attacked for no reason? Did I do the right thing guys?

Fishing tips needed!?

Ok so every sunday me my 2 brothers and my dad go to a dock on Courthouse Lake in Minnesota to go fishing and have a bet for 100 bucks to see who can catch 20 sunfish first. The rules are you must use worms and can only use the lures and bobbers in the tackle box (Tons of different stuff in there ). I usually only have 4 fish by the time someone gets 20. Usually when I fish I use a regular Hook and a red and white bobber. The fish are really hungry there and you can see them in the water. When ever I fish The sunnys just steal the bait or when they get there mouth in the hook i yank up and they fall off. So i really need tips and strategy's for fishing these pumpkinseed sunfish. thanks

What is the best camera for me?

I had a Fujifilm finepix Z80. It has become faulty so i am going to return it and hopefully buy a different camera. i am going on camp with my school in june so i would like a camera that is easy to use and works well, takes good pictures and is fast (my old camera was very slow.) My Microsoft Word file won't open on Mac or Windows...?

I use lures for them. For bass soft plastics work pretty well for me and they are cheap and disposable. For trout you can either fly fish or use smaller lures like spoons or phoebes or rooster tails.

Why is my computer so loud?

I've had this HP desktop for about 3 years now but probably in the last 2 i've had this problem. Its not the cpu fan because i had it cleaned out by a computer shop about 3-4 months ago and i just cleaned it about 3 days ago. It only makes the noise when i play games or do a lot or heavy stuff. If it makes the noise for about 30 minutes straight it will just power down. No warning, nothing, it'll just shut off. When i turn it back on again it only takes 20 minutes to just shut off then lower and lower each time, so eventually i just have to shut it off and leave it for the day. I've been doing a little research and am thinking its the hardrive. What do you think?

Hello, I was wondering if someone can give me some advice on what to do with my broken transmission?

The vehicle is a 1995 ford ranger with 257,000 miles. Its been in the family for a while. I just got it 2 weeks ago since my sister got a new car so I was next in line. I loved the truck but I knew something was wrong with the transmission because it would shift hard sometimes. When we first got the truck back in 04 the transmission was replaced. The truck then blew a head around 210,000 miles. Me and my brother fixed it for my father. He changed the oil on the motor every 3000 miles since then but he forgot the oil on another crucial part of the truck. Yes, the transmission. He NEVER changed it! a few months ago I checked it and It was DARK brown and had a weird smell to it. We asked our mechanic what to do and he said there was nothing we could do because the transmission was already adjusted to the bad oil and giving it good oil would just make it s*** itself. Therefore we knew it was going to go out. Well a few weeks ago it gave out going up a hill with HIGH wind. I was driving when it went out. When it happened there was no noise. It simply just didnt grab anything.. I pulled over and we got it towed. Its been sitting outside and I need a new car but my father wants to fix it. I tell him theres no value in the truck anymore since the motor has tons of miles and the cost of the transmission would cost more than the actual truck. Anyways, I found it weird how no noise was made when it "broke". I was talking to my cousin about this and he suggested flushing the trans fluid anyway and put in new oil. It doesnt seem like a bad idea and who knows? right? But maybe theres someone out there who can maybe help me out. I hope I gave enough information about the transmission. Thanks for the help!

I was standing outside on my driveway with a couple of friends and i saw a small circle light drifting?

i noticed that the object was drifting across the sky when i was looking at a star and then the circle light object next to it started moving every so slightly it was very high up higher than the clouds and it kept moving at a constant speed and no noise what so ever but it was also very high we watched it for about a minute it just kept moving constant and then the light started to get fainter and fainter as it was going higher in the sky (circle was the size of about an average star u would see in the sky maybe a little smaller) but the light kept getting fainter and eventually it was gone as it just moved out of the atmosphere and left the earth and the sky was really clear so it did not go up in the clouds and did not have any kind of trail or anything just a slightly moving light can anyone explain this to me as what it might of been because i have no clue

Voyager by Verizon screen blank?

Okay, so I have the Voyager and out of the blue, it randomly stops showing anything on the screen. It still makes noises, like when I get a text, but I cant see anything on the screen. It is this dark navy blue color, and then when I turn it off, i goes black. This has been going on for a month, and its frustrating as it is. Noise in throat when I close it?

When I close my throat muscles while opening my mouth wide, I hear a kind of sharp squishing noise, like a clicking noise. It's the area in the back of my throat around the tonsil area. Also, if I stick my finger in there, behind the smooth "barriers" on the sides, it feels really bumpy. Also if I sniff my finger it smells. Smells like saliva but stronger. Sorry for the grossness.

I hear that and immediately finger your model as one that had a plague of issues with faulty power supplies and bad capacitors on the motherboard. The iMac G5s were lousy with them. If you don't mind, unplug it, put it face down, unscrew the three screws on the bottom (they don't come out, they just spin for a while and stop), and pop the back off. Look for bulging and/or leaking capacitors. If you see any then you'll know that it's a lost cause and a new computer is the only viable solution.

My ipod won't connect to itunes?

When I plug my ipod touch into my computer, it will make the noise that it's detected the ipod, and my ipod will start charging. But on itunes it says it can't connect to the ipod. I went to "My computer" and it say's it had my ipod in, but it was detecting it as a camera. I want to sync and erase songs from my ipod, but it won't show up in itunes. When your ps3 is powered down (you see the red light on the front) hold the power button until you hear three beeps. This does a reset of the video connection. There is a horror/thriller movie i have been trying to find out for some time, can someone help me solve it?

this story is about a family that moves into an old house,(or have been living there) and they have a little girl.she often plays in those little plastic cottages you can get for young girls. but when you see her playing with her"fairy friends" they are very grotesque looking. the fairy-gnomes whatever they are are the subject of the terror in this movie as they place tricks on people. And when the gardener tries to warn the family, they use a tripwire and make him fall on a pair of hedge clippers. eventually, their little girl goes missing and why are looking for her, when they hear her favorite music box(which they used to lure the little girl into the tunnels i belive) and they find out there is a network of tunnels under the house, in which these fairies live. i do not remember if they get her free or not but i do remember them finding her wrapped up in some sort of a cocoon. i also remember one other scene, them ripping wallpaper off the walls and finding words or blood underneath... but im not sure where that fits in. any help would be apriciated because ive been trying to find this for a while. it was probably made within the last 20-25 years.

MY LAPTOP WON'T ACCEPT MAC OS X SNOW LEOPARD?

I want to play TF2 on my macbook. It took a good 9 hours to download, then it took a good amount of time "Validating Steam Files." Once it was finally done, I tried to launch TF2, but it said my laptop didn't meet the minimum requirements. So I got the Mac OS X Snow Leopard disc-- which, by the way is the family pack that can go on 5 computers-- and put it in my laptop, but it just made a bunch of whirring noises for a while before eventually spitting it back out. I thought maybe it was upside-down, so i flipped it, and my laptop just spit it out even quicker. Can anyone tell me why it won't work?

Back way back when, maybe in 97-98, I used to play this computer game on our old Macintosh. What I can remember of it was that is was that you are some sort of God sent liberator or something, and you go into Hell with a ship and save souls down there... it was timed if you didnt save enough souls in a certain time and then the Devil would come out and he, if i remember right, was a giant evil face,,,? Fishing question about bass.?

Okay I am 14 and I fish a lot. This weekend i am fishing a private lake were i know there are big bass and one that is about 14 pounds. You thought i want to catch them. I have talked to people who have fished there and told me exactly where to cast and where the big bass usually hang out. They hang by a boat dock. Heres the catch the owner which lets me fish there owns part of the lake and i don't have access to a boat. So heres my question. I need to be able to cast about 100-150 feet. These past few days I've been hearing subtle clicking sounds, like around 5 clicks in a row, and I would hear them every few minutes. I've been told by a dentist to see an oral surgeon to have my wisdom teeth removed at the beginning of the year, so they must have changed in size and position by now. I also had braces until last year, so everything except wisdom teeth should be perfectly fine, right? What's with the clicking?

Software that feels like I'm using an old computer?

What would you call that? An emulator? Anyway, I prefer the look and feel of older, less streamlined computers. Give me a Macintosh I over a Macmini anyday (except for the constant switching of disks...that part was annoying... :I). Still, I like older windows, older macintosh, I once used a really hard to find xerox(I think?) computer once that was something like Windows. Know any programs that would feel like using one of those? Heads up, I despise MS DOS. Don't know why, I just can't stand it. So Windows 1.0 or something would be nice. Thanks!

It tried to install but I got it to quit and deleted it off my hard drive. Now I'm paranoid that there may be other software bundled with this that's infecting my computer. What do I do?

Why is my cobra making a buzzing noise?

I have a 2003 mustang cobra with a ported Eaton and upgraded upper and lower pulleys. Recently there has been a loud buzzing noise coming from what sounds like the supercharger (i could be wrong though). it gets louder and changes pitch when the RPMs go up. At idle you don't hear the noise at all. i have already replaced the bearings in the idler pulleys and about to change the oil in the supercharger. if that doesn't work i am taking the supercharger apart, however i do not wish to do that. i would be eternally great full if anyone could tell me what the noise could be and how to fix it.

Awkward situation regarding my neighbour - what would you do?

My husband is forever complaining about the noise our downstairs neighbour makes and to be honest, i don't think he's that loud. We live in a flat so there has to be a bit of give and take where noise is concerned. I seriously don't think it's a problem as he doesn't make that much noise but my husband have started arguing over this and it's ended up with him and i falling out. He phoned me the other night when he was out asking if the guy was making any noise. I could hear music but not that loud and it was only 7pm. I told husband this and he's now asked me to keep a noise diary which i just think is ridiculous - the people and traffic outside are louder than our neighbour. What's the best way for me to deal with this as i really don't want the hassle of rowing with my husband, but at the same time don't want to see my neighbour getting grief for no reason (he's a nice guy) Help!

Weird mind stuff while trying to go to sleep?

When I'm laying down in the dark, while I'm trying to go to sleep, I get this weird load roaring airplane take off noise in my head and a strange image of some stick figure butterfly flapping it's wings rapidly- I also have a weird feeling in my mouth like there's something in it that keeps getting larger and larger... It all starts out mildly (quiet roar, steady flap, small object) but it all increases to the point where I cant get it to go away unless I sit up and turn the lights on. It's just that bad people don't give much attention to them. It's still not worth their time. Perhaps when you see a significant rise in OS X usage, you will start hearing about a lot of virus designed for OS X.

You really need to "troubleshoot" - try a different mic - try a different mic cable - if that does not help, it may be your amp or speakers. Speakers usually crackle when they are damaged.

Main reason, computer users are not exposed to MAC computers in everyday life and have no idea what they are. I probably could give a few dumb answers if I tried hard enough. well, obviously a fuel delivery issue. Fuel filter would be an easy one to eleminate. I believe that has a mechanical pump mounted on the side of the engine, you could pull the outlet line (at the pump or at the carb inlet) and see if it's pushing fuel while the engine is being cranked. Troubleshoot why your not getting fuel and go from there.

It's up about 10degs. up on one side and it wont close. One day I was opening my sunroof, and I heard a very loud cracking noise and all the sudden my sun roof wouldn't close. I use a PC because it is cheaper, from my understandings a Mac is expensive but will out last a PC with minimal upgrades, I was in JB Hi Fi the other day and Norton has an Anti Virus program for Mac's , so they are no immune as one would believe? I have spoken to people that have used a PC and gone to a mac, and say they will never go back? I have seen then on display with all the apps open and they are still fast,were a PC would be starting to slow or lag? From other observations, you could by a 2 year old mac and the software etc would be still on a par with the latest where a PC may have gone through a SP and numerous security updates etc? Expensive but in the long run worth it.
