Does anyone know this game?

Back way back when, maybe in 97-98, I used to play this computer game on our old Macintosh. What I can remember of it was that is was that you are some sort of God sent liberator or something, and you go into Hell with a ship and save souls down there... it was timed if you didnt save enough souls in a certain time and then the Devil would come out and he, if i remember right, was a giant evil face,,,? I could be wrong on that, but that was the jist of the game, and is used to scare the hell out of me.... Furthermore, there was a game i know for a fact was called Burning Rubber back then too, a car racing game where if you drove in the grass your car exploded... If you have any way to find that game, any info is greatly appreciated!(:
