Macbook: two operating systems, one hardrive?

If you want to get some idea of how all this works with a MAC, I suggest reading the two links below. There may be software for MAC that will resize partitions and keep every thing intact. I really don't know how it works when it is using Bootcamp. I'm not a MAC user, I run Linux.
